Never welded & completely rust free, you'd be hard pushed to find a car as original as this. The only modification being the ride height, wheels & improved front brakes.
mileage is 61300km's
Full VolksWorld feature in March 2006
The front beam has been replaced with a 3.5" narrowed beam, CSP disc brakes and JGE Gas Burners. This work was carried out less than a year ago. The original beam brakes and wheels (with new continental tyres) will be sold with the car.

| i first saw this car at stanford hall a few years back in the forsale section,i asked the owner a woman about the car and she burst in to tears and couldnt speak for a while, she then told me eventually that she bought it to use as a daily and just could not bring herself to use it in the rain, and was catching the bus,she realised that she could not keep the car and decided it had to go,so i stepped in and bought the car,not realy wanting a car at the time i just bought it as it was such a clean unrestored bug, once i got it home and had a proper look at it i couldnt beleave how good it was,i can say that you wont find a better car anyware,i wanted to hit it with the lowering stick but couldnt bring myself to do it,wish i had now looking at it,anyway i sold it to a friend who is a real nutter,he didnt have a garage and said he couldnt leave a car like that outside on the road,he asked me if i wanted to buy it back but i had bought another car so didnt have room,i was talking to luke and was telling him about the car and he said if my mate took it down to london he would buy it,which he did,the car is unwelded and was stunning, the only thing i did was to have the seat centres retrimed as it was a swedish car it had a cloth in the centres that was threadbare on the drivers seat,i ordered some TMI upholstery and had the seats done, they looked very period and to be honest look better than the originals did,i think the car is amongst one of the best on the scene, goodluck with the sale im sure it will sell as soon as somone sees it.steve. |
